The Seated Acupressure Massage is a seated variation of the ancient Oriental massage arts of Anma and Shiatsu.
In this massage I use my fingers, thumbs, knuckles and elbows on the 12 major acupressure points that are found on your hands, arms, head, neck, back and legs.
This massage will help to stimulate the blood flow and therefore not only eases any muscular aches and pains but also helps your immune and nervous system.
After the seated acupressure massage you will be left feeling relaxed, energised and ready to take on any challenge as it also promotes the release of endorphins.
The treatment normally lasts around 20-25 minutes and therefore it is great if you are in the middle of a working day and you need something to relax you, or get you back into a positive frame of mind. I can also increase the length of the treatment if you wish.
When I perform this massage I normally use either a normal low back chair, or an Indian Head massage chair although I realise that it might not be suitable for everybody. Our chair will support the whole of your body comfortably so that you can then enjoy the experience of a seated acupressure massage.
I find that clients particularly enjoy this massage at the Mind, Body & Soul fairs I attend as it doesn't take too long and it gives them a break from walking round.
So really the Seated Acupressure massage is an all over massage in a chair!
